Turei tells WCRC why the Mokihnui should not be damned

Green Party Conservation Spokesperson Metiria Turei will present the Green Party’s submission against damning New Zealand’s seventh most significant river – the wild Mokihinui. The West Coast Regional Council is holding a hearing into Meridian’s proposal to damn the Mokihinui river, which would drown 330 hectares of virgin rainforest.
